Product Description
Created to meet the exacting demands of diabetic skin care, DiabetiCare® provides immediate relief for dry, rough, flaky skin. It spreads easily and absorbs completely. Within two weeks of using DiabetiCare® regularly, skin will become more supple, feel smoother and softer, and look healthier.
DiabetiCare® offers diabetic patients other important benefits:
• Strengthens skin to be resistant to cracking.
• Reduces risk of infection.
• Improves patients’ quality of life.
How GLA maintains healthy skin.
DiabetiCare® works by supplying skin cells with Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid that’s needed to create and maintain healthy skin cell membranes. Without adequate levels of GLA, the cell walls lose integrity and are less able to retain moisture.
People don’t ingest GLA in their daily diet; instead, an enzyme called delta-6-desaturate produces it from Linoleic Acid (LA), which is commonly found in many dietary oils.
Among type II diabetics, delta-6-desaturate may be severely compromised and unable to produce GLA in amounts sufficient to maintain healthy skin cells. As a result, diabetics’ skin becomes dry, thin, easily bruised, and damaged. Skin problems are common among type II diabetics and are often an early indicator of the disease.
Delivers GLA where it’s needed: directly to skin cells.
